The Dawn of a New Frontier

Jeff and Shannon

Located on the Bar E Ranch in Newkirk, Oklahoma, Land Run Distillery opens a new chapter in a story that shaped Oklahoma. A story anchored in the hard work, perseverance, tenacity and grit of the men and women willing to take risks and establish homesteads on the lands settled in the Oklahoma Land Run of 1893.

Founded in 2021 by husband and wife, Jeff Casey and Shannon Guthrie, our passion for the finest bourbons and whiskeys is at the heart of what we do. We are driven by a passion to improve, a determination to succeed and a promise to produce the best whiskeys from the finest ingredients.

Ideally set on the rich plains in northern Oklahoma, Land Run Distillery will sit on our family ranch overlooking the land originally settled by Jeff Casey’s great-grandfather, Henry Engelking. Land that offers an abundance of raw materials and natural resources crucial to whiskey production.

We are a family of whiskey lovers and history buffs. A collaboration of generations of innovators, entrepreneurs, ranchers, business leaders and creative minds - bound by blood, rooted in tradition, and driven to improve the things the matter the most in our lives.

We value family, friends, community and the land we call home. We insist on quality and therefore insist on making our own.

We believe that the quality of our whiskeys speaks for themselves and invite you to discover the unique flavors profiles and aromas that make Land Run Distillery bourbons and whiskeys truly special.

OUR VISION

We aspire to honor the legacy of the pioneers of the Oklahoma Land Run of 1893 while also fostering economic growth in Northern Oklahoma through the establishment of Land Run Distillery. We endeavor to explore and uncover the robust flavor profiles and aromas unique to our regional land and establish Oklahoma as a premier whiskey-producing state.

OUR PROMISE

We use only the natural resources and raw materials available on the lands surrounding the distillery along with a meticulous attention to detail to produce premium bourbons and whiskeys. This means we use locally sourced grains and limestone water found beneath the earth to produce our whiskeys which are mixed, distilled, aged, cut and bottled on the land settled during the Land Run of 1893.

OUR JOURNEY

Our journey began in 1893 when our ancestors staked their claim to the land that would become the Bar E Ranch and now, Land Run Distillery. At the heart of our narrative is the story of land and opportunity - of settlers who came by foot, wagon, horseback, and train to stake their claim to land in the Cherokee Outlet. An important part of Oklahoma’s history, our land has provided our family for generations and continues that tradition today.
